• Strictly necessary cookies – required for login session management, security token validation, and fraud detection. These cannot be disabled without impairing Platform functionality.

8. Data Retention

betbk retains personal data for as long as your account remains active and for a minimum of five (5) years after account closure, in compliance with Philippine AML record-keeping requirements (RA 9160). Financial transaction records are retained for a minimum of ten (10) years. Data held solely for marketing purposes is deleted upon withdrawal of consent or account closure, whichever is earlier.

After the applicable retention period, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised so that it can no longer be attributed to an identifiable individual.

9. Data Security

betbk implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, or alteration. These measures include:

• 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your device and the betbk Platform.
• Hashed and salted storage of all account passwords — betbk staff cannot view your password in plaintext.
• Role-based access controls limiting internal access to personal data on a strict need-to-know basis.
• Regular penetration testing and security audits of the Platform infrastructure.
• SMS-based two-factor authentication available to all Members for additional account security.

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in risk to your rights and freedoms, betbk will notify the National Privacy Commission (NPC) within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, and will notify affected Members without undue delay.

As a data subject under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), you have the following rights with respect to your personal data held by betbk:

• Right to be informed – you have the right to know how betbk collects and uses your personal data, as described in this Policy.
• Right of access – you may request a copy of the personal data betbk holds about you.
• Right to rectification – you may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data in your betbk account.
• Right to erasure – you may request deletion of personal data where betbk no longer has a lawful basis to retain it, subject to regulatory retention obligations.
• Right to object – you may object to processing based on betbk's legitimate interests, including direct marketing communications.
• Right to data portability – you may request a structured, machine-readable copy of personal data you have provided to betbk.
• Right to lodge a complaint – you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines if you believe betbk has violated your data privacy rights.

11. Children's Privacy

betbk strictly prohibits access to its Platform by individuals under the age of 21. betbk does not knowingly collect personal data from persons under 21 years of age. If betbk becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a minor, that account will be immediately suspended and all associated data deleted. 12. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Some of betbk's technology partners and service providers may process personal data outside the Philippines, including in jurisdictions within the Asia-Pacific region. Where personal data is transferred internationally, betbk ensures that appropriate safeguards are in place — including contractual data protection clauses equivalent to those required under Philippine law — to maintain the same level of protection afforded to personal data processed within the Philippines.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

betbk reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, legal obligations, or Platform features. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Where changes are material, betbk will notify registered Members via email or a prominent Platform notice. Continued use of betbk Services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
